>> (Music) Hey, thank you so
much for joining Anthony and
myself. I'm Lauren Deal.
I'll be your learner advocate
as we go along. I'm learning
along with you, and so I'm so
glad that we have an
experienced instructor here
with us, Anthony Sequeira.
Tell us a little bit about
yourself.
>> Certainly, Lauren. My name
is Anthony Sequeira. Welcome to
this module. I have been
teaching our topic, IP services
since the early nineties.
Yes, I know I'm old, but you
know, I really want to impart
my experience over those
decades for you. And it's
pretty amazing. We're going to
be looking at IP services in
this module. And I said that
I've been teaching these over
decades and some of these
really haven't changed all that
much. So there's a lot of tried
and true services that we'll be
looking at in this module that
really have been the
cornerstones of successful
networking for us over the
decades.
>> I love to hear that you have
evolved through the ages of
just how tech has changed,
things haven't changed. And I
have to say, I'm very impressed
with your teaching style
because you've been in the
industry for a while. It's
really fun to learn from you.
>> Speaking of which, what are
we going to be talking about?
Yeah, so we will go through IP
service after IP service in
this list. Some of these will
even be looking at
configuration. But at the very
least, you will get an overview
of very popular services,
things like DHCP, DNS,
>> a lot of these. We wouldn't
have a network the way we think
of a network if these services
did not exist for us. So some
will dive deeper in than others
and actually look at
configurations. Others will
stay at kind of an overview
level, just making sure you
understand what their role is
and why they're so important.
>> I think this is why it's so
fun to work with you because
one, we have a lot of fun and
you're going to have fun too.
And we might cover some things
that you are familiar with and
maybe some new things too and
dive deeper into those
concepts. Now, I have a general
idea about IP services, but
>> who might be a good learner
to learn along with us? Yeah,
ideally, our candidates here in
this module would have like an
A plus level of knowledge.
In A plus, you do dip your toe
into networking and now you're
probably ready to go deeper and
that's exactly what we're going
to do, delving into some of
these important network
services. Well,
>> I'm excited to delve a
little bit deeper alongside
with you. Remember, you can
watch the videos over again if
you need a little bit of a
refresher. We've got great
notes that go along with our
videos and we'll always
recommend if you make
flashcards if there's a lot of
alphabet soup. So Anthony, what
do you say we start our first
episode? And we'll see you
there. All right. See you soon.
