(Music) I'm Dr. Hernan Murdock, and over the years, I've personally witnessed and done a lot of research involving whistleblower hotlines, and I'm very excited about the preparation for this course where we're going to explore how we can go about helping our organizations establish them and run them effectively. With me is Rob Clark, who has a lot of experience with whistleblower hotlines. Welcome, Rob. Dr. Murdoch, delightful to be here. What about yourself and your experience with the whistleblowing hotlines? Well, I have been at the whole internal audit gig now for over three decades, and I have found a niche, absolutely love it. I've been a part of five different organizations and have helped to put hotlines in place at many of them. So I have seen firsthand the impact of the before and after from having either an internal phone line that accommodated calls that people were uncomfortable calling because it was caller ID versus putting in place a robust third party hotline with 24-7 management of that with multiple languages accommodated. And seeing the difference in how that contributes to the culture of the organization where people feel confident bringing issues forward, knowing that they're going to be done confidentially, anonymously, and then accompanying that with the appropriate documentation and policies that actually speak to how the process should be managed. That's where we're going to be covering. So viewers are going to learn what it requires to have it in place effectively, how to run it effectively, and how to look at the results of the allegations and how to treat them. Man I would want to stick around and watch this if I were you. I am looking forward to this course and I am going to learn a lot and I'm sure you will too. Let's learn together. Look forward to it.
