WEBVTT Hello everybody. Thank you for tuning in. We'd like to take a time just to give you a little bit of an overview on the course that you're about to watch. That's the Azure services to manage workloads and servers. I'm going to be your host throughout this course. My name is Wes Bryan. I've been a technical instructor for the last years or better. I've taught a variety of industry recognized certifications from CompTIA, taught Microsoft. I'm a former MCT, the Microsoft Certified Trainer as well. I've taught in traditional instructor-led training as well as what you see here online training likewise. So I'm really looking forward to being a part of this course, but it's not myself that you're here for. It's actually our subject matter expert in this course, and that's going to be Ms. Robin Abernathy. Robin, tell our viewers a little bit about yourself. Well, my name is Robin Abernathy. I have been involved in the IT certification preparation industry for a couple of decades. I've always been more of a behind the scenes girl. I wrote a lot of content for some practice test companies. I did Microsoft practice tests, I did CompTIA practice, a lot of project management. I have had passed a lot of experience managing Active Directory in some previous lives. I have come around and I'm starting to learn all of the new things to do with Active Directory. I'm just really excited to be able to give you some of that knowledge that I've gained along my journey. Very good. So if somebody is going to click the play button, they're going to be starting to look at some of these episodes that we have in this course. What is this course going to be about? Now, I know I've had a high level, we could say Azure services, demand servers, and workloads, but what is this course going to be about? Well, we're going to show you some of the tools that you can use to make your administrative load better. We're going to talk about things like the Windows Admin Center. We're going to talk about PowerShell and PowerShell remoting. We're also going to go in and show you how to use some of the tools in Azure to even manage some of your on-premises stuff. So there's a co-mingling of the two environments. We've got this on-prem environment, we got this Cloud environment, and now we're trying to make them so they talk to each other, and they make our lives so much easier. Robin, is there any demographic that this is specifically for? Who is this for? Well, it's for any person that's in IT out there that knows, whether they're doing that job now, but knows that at some point they may want to become a manager of these hybrid environments. Everyone's going hybrid now, and some organizations now are just strictly doing everything on the Cloud. Whether you have a hybrid environment, or maybe you have an on-prem that you want to go to a more hybrid, you need to know the types of stuff in here so that you can pick the best tool to help you manage your environment. One of the things that I really like, I like working in Azure, I like working with servers, I love installing server roles, maybe sometimes not troubleshooting them when they're not doing what they want, but the blending of the two, that's one of the things that I'm really excited about this course. Being able to show you all a little bit about Azure, a little bit about those on-prem environments and connecting the two, and how we can manage those resources more effectively. Like Robin said, one of the things I'm really excited about is seeing how we can reduce that administrative overhead when it comes to managing your networks. Robin, why are you excited about this course? I am most excited about this course because not only do I give you the ins and outs of all the tools and tell you what they are capable of doing, I then turn around and go in and I'm going to give you some demonstrations. Those demonstrations can really help you because you're seeing the live environment, you're seeing how we go in and do some of the things. Now, you may go a little deeper than we do because we will introduce a lot of these things, but it'll give you a great start so that when you start to progress in your knowledge, you'll look back and you'll go, "I remember when I only knew that I could do X with this, and now I do all the alphabet with this tool." All right, there you have it everybody. There's a little bit about the course that you're about to watch. Push play and we'll see you in the first episode.
