ACI Learning Pledges Support to Mt. Carmel Veterans Center

Employees at the Colorado Springs ACI Learning Hub have taken their commitment to local veterans to a higher level – committing $12,000 in charitable gifts to the Mt. Carmel Veterans Center over the next six months.Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center provides transition and employment assistance, behavioral health and wellness, supportive services, connection to community resources, and safe event space for veterans, military members, and their families. The gift is earmarked to provide more resources to transitioning service members, veterans and their spouses and dependents. The money will not be spent on training at ACI Learning, but recipients can use it to further their professional training or assist in employment efforts in other ways.

A chance to give back

“ACI Learning is proud to support Mt Carmel Veterans Service Center's mission in assisting veterans and their families overcome obstacles to obtain meaningful employment,” said Ken Hoerning, ACI Learning Community Engagement Manager. “As an In-House Partner of Mt Carmel, ACI Learning has worked alongside the Transition and Employment team, supporting veterans and their families in their search for employment and career advancement within the IT, Cybersecurity, and Project Management fields. This gift is a way for ACI Learning to give back to an organization that has done such amazing work within the veteran community and will allow the transition and employment team to continue to provide the crucial support their clients need.”

Proud tradition continues

This effort is only the latest in a long and proud tradition of supporting veterans at ACI Learning. For example, the company previously donated $20,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) to support programs that provide veterans with access to employment and education assistance in addition to other critical services that transform the way America’s injured veterans are empowered, employed, and engaged in their communities. ACI Learning is also a participant in the Department of Defense’s (DOD) SkillBridge Program, which matches service members looking to gain valuable civilian work experience with specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during their last 180 days of active service prior to transitioning to civilian life.
